This is part 3 of my interview with General Petty. He starts off by describing what is what like returning with his battalion from deployment to Iraq in Aug 2007. Then he left command to become the Branch Chief of Standards and Training for the COARNG. Later, he was promoted to full Colonel and took command of the 89th Troop BDE. After command, he became the Chief of Staff for COARNG. As he was preparing to retire, he received a call hat he was selected for Brigadier General. He was promoted in 2014 and sent to Sarajevo, Bosnia as a NATO Commander.
