My guest today is retired Air Force Technical Sergeant, Kevin Balcom. Kevin graduated from Mona Shores High School in Michigan in 1997. He swore in at the MEPS station in Lansing, MI and went to Basic Training in June 1998. His AFSCN was 1C6 Space Systems Operations. After Basic, he attended technical school at Vandenberg AFB, CA. His first assignment was to the 11th Space Warning Squadron at Peterson AFB, CO. When that unit shut down in 2002, Kevin was assigned to the 2nd Space Warning Squadron at Buckley AFB, CO. Later he served in assignments to Boulder, CO and Vandenberg AFB, CA. He retired in 2018.
